How do the Leagues work?
The Little League is open to all children from ages 5-11. The League is meant to
encourage children from taking to sports at an early age and enjoy sports with their
parents and communities (since children spend most of their time at this age with
parents or in their communities). The Little League prepares children to not just
play but to
a) Build long lasting relationships with parents and with their surrounding communities
and build lasting friendships and team spirit
b) Play sports in a scientific manner with equal time spent on developing stamina,
team spirit as much as playing the game
Once a child reaches 11, he starts to spend more time at school and with his school
friends. The School League takes over at this stage. Teams of the School League
at the school level are chosen by the schools. School League teams at the city/town/district
level are picked by talent scouts of the respective franchises. This is first step
for those with real sporting talent to look forward to reach the highest level of
sporting achievement by moving on to the College League and the Premier League
Training at the level of the city/town/district school leagues is at par with the
best global standards. Emphasis is not just on the game but in nurturing physical
stamina, building team spirit, psychological conditioning to win
Once those playing in the school league enter college, they can either play for
their college’s league or they may be picked up by the talent scouts of the College
League franchise for the city/town/district they are in. The standard of the college
league at the city/town/district level or those who play in these leagues is the
best in the world and only the most talented make it. Infact, our aim is the best
from the School League get a chance to join a college of their choice (instead of
just academics deciding who goes to which college) and then play for that college.
This way, colleges can build up world class teams
The highest level of sport is The Premier League. The Premier League is the “Major
League”. Only the best in India and the world who have risen through a life time
of effort and achievement make it to the Premier League. The rewards for those who
make it are large in terms of remumeration, sponsorship. Premier League talent is
picked by talent scouts from college leagues across India and Asia. Talent scouts
look at a mix of top tier talent to make their teams
We strongly believe that Premier League teams are popular when they have seen the
team nurture talent right through the Little League structure and has built a sense
of belonging for the League. It is something that fathers bring their sons and daughters
to watch from 1 or 2 years of age. You grow up with the Premier League and support
the league and game with a passion that is only possible when built with years of
relationship over generations
